Spin

The Grizzly Bear is huge and wild;
He has devoured the infant child.
The infant child is not aware.
It has been eaten by the bear.
A.E. Housman, Infant Innocence

Robert Charles Wilson's Spin is the best sci-fi book I've read in a while. It's hard to say what captivated me, but I remember the I-must-go-back-to-reading-it feeling from before: From when I was reading Anathem.

The Ballad of Serenity

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me...

The Doctor's Wife

- He'll be fine. He's a Time Lord.
- It's just what they're called. It doesn't mean he actually knows what he's doing.

Thank you, Mr. Gaiman, for the latest Doctor Who episode.

Veritates Vitae

One cannot be, in the grand scheme of things, doing something wrong while wearing only underpants (or a bikini, a swimsuit, or any garment/undergarment of equal size or purpose.)
